Telescopes
These are the locations of stationary telescopes:
- The Crossing Observatory, in the Middens.
- The Seeress' House, in the Crossing.
- Meraud's Tower, near Wolf Clan.
- The Pierless Inn, in Riverhaven.
- Ankis Dir Observatory, in Leth Deriel.
- Izma Ru'ef University, in Leth Deriel.
- The Great Tower, in Shard.
- The Keep of Theren in Therenborough.
- Phelim's Temple, Ratha Third Tier.
- Windswept Overlook, Ratha Second Tier.
- Moon Mage Guildhouse, Taisgath Island.
- Gorbesh fortress tower between Theren and Lang . . . take the
twisting trail 8 rooms south of El Bain's stop
- Take the Northern Trade Route to the trail that is just past the
tunnel going toward the swamp (crocodiles). Travel west until you find a building.
This is a nice place to explore and it has a museum and a library. The
telescope can be found on the catwalk if you find and climb the stairs.
To use a telescope, first CENTER it upon the body. After you have done
that, PEER in the telescope to see the body and make your observation.
When working with Moons, you need only CENTER the telescope upon
the moon. Never use telescopes on the Sun.
Divination Bones
You may purchase a set of Divination Bones in Theren at Krrish's
Bones. A set of bones costs around 5 - 7 gold lirum (depending upon your charisma
and bartering skills).
To use Divination Bones, first form a link to them by rubbing them.
The more you use the bones, the more this link will strengthen. Next, RUB
the bones until you have them on the skill you wish to predict. Make an observation on a
constellation for that skill (see Constellations). Then, THROW or ROLL
the bones at your target (THROW BONES AT<other
character> or THROW BONES AT <your
character>>)
The following runes are translated into these skills.
Sword - Offense
Shield - Defense
Codex - Lore
Staff - Magic
Stick Figure - Body Survival
Hand - Survival
Even Line - Random
Interpreting each cast of bones is very complex. More
information regarding interpretation will be posted as soon as it is available.

Predictions
To make a prediction . . .
When possible, it is best to cast Clear Vision upon
yourself prior to predicting.
Observe a constellation
Continue to observe constellations until you learn
something about the future (you will know when this occurs).
Now, PREDICT FUTURE <name of
another character or your character>
You may or may not succeed. Try again.
Interpreting your visions
If you successfully predict the future, you will see a
vision, something like this:
After a few moments, the mists of
time begin to part.
You see yourself reading an ancient manuscript.
You see the sun rising on a bitterly cold winter's morning.
You see a shackled figure being led into a dungeon.
A shiver runs through your spine as the visions fade.
You see nothing else. |
Here is an example of how to interpret your vision:
- Your reading an ancient manuscript means that you are seeing the
future of lore skills.
- The shackled figure's being led into a dungeon signifies how far into
the future you have seen: you have seen for the amount of time this man has got to live.
- The sun's rising on a bitterly cold winter's morning signifies to
what degree the skill set you have seen about (in this case, lore) will be affected. The
hotter the vision, the more powerful the change.
- The shiver's running through your spine means that the change will be
a negative one. If it were good, a feeling of warmth would have pervaded your soul.
- Besides this, you saw nothing else. But sometimes, you may see
exactly what skill you were predicting. (You sense it has to do with teaching, or light
thrown weaponry, etc.)
Weather
Prediction
Weather Prediction is quite simple, actually . . .
1. Simply PREDICT WEATHER
2. Your results will be in ten-minute phases, as
Realms' weather has the opportunity to change every ten minutes. You may receive
more than one phase prediction (you may see twenty minutes into the future, in other
words).
