Skye

Skyelance Cloudconnor
Elven Moon Mage

>Look at Skyelance
>You see Skyelance Cloudconnor, an Elf.
>He has one crystal blue eye and one crystal green eye, short straight golden brown hair that is loose, and tanned skin.
>He is wearing some fawn brown doeskin leathers, some soft knee-high leather boots with antler side-buttons, a worn leather book bag bearing the crest of the Asemath Academy, and a dark brown buckskin pouch.

Skyelance, much like Jacen, enjoys logging all of his travels and experiences in his leather journal. You might see Skye (as he's commonly referred to by friends) jotting down a thought or pondering a passage.

>You also sense a MoonGate, but its whereabouts are elusive. Could there be a hidden, crystal blue portal in this part of the chamber?

Skye's favorite places in the Realms are The Crossing (nothing like home) where Skye spends most of his time and a secret, quiet area outside the Eastern Gate where he often ponders life in the Realms.

Skyelance, a Wind Elf, chooses to wear only doeskin, deerskin, and buckskin garments when possible, as all Wind Elves generally do.

Of all the Elven Clans (Forest, River, Wind, Mountain, Bone, Snow, Sand, and Celestial) Skyelance is a Wind Elf.

The Elven Clans

Top of pageWind Elves

Wind Elves live in the grasslands and plains of Elanthia. They are peaceful and gentle of spirit, yet they can be fearsome warriors when the need arises. Often known as Catwalkers because they move with the silence and powerful grace of a feline, they are tall and slender with tanned skin and often dress in deer or doeskin clothing.

Top of pageForest Elves

Are quiet, stealthy Elves who far prefer the security of the woods to open spaces. They are closest in their culture to that of the Father and Mother and some of them claim to be the only "true" elves left in the realms. They are tall and strong like the forests they inhabit and they usually dress in the colors of the woods. They reside in the area around Leth Deriel.

Top of pageRiver Elves

As their name implies, these Elves spend a great deal of time on the water. They are fine shipbuilders, although their crafts are usually applied to small boats and rafts, rather than large vessels. River Elves are a bit smaller than most elves and are dark in complexion with fair hair. They tend to be found in the area around Langenfirth, although if asked they will state that their home is where the river takes them.

Top of pageMountain Elves

The Mountain Elves are distantly related to the Wind Elves as they are an early off shoot of the clan. They were part of a band of Wind Elves lured into the mountains by Dwarves that falsely promised peace to them. They were enslaved by the Dwarves but overthrew them and now reside in the mountains. They can be dark and devious and filled with bitterness carried over from years of enslavement. They are very sensitive to light, and are pale and thin, with dark hair and eyes.

Top of pageBone Elves

Bone Elves are descended from the only group to leave the Mountain Elves (some say they were driven out) They are wicked necromancers and are said to be more of a cult than a clan. They worship Huldah and Harawep. They are light sensitive like the Mountain Elves, but can blend in appearance with any group of Elves, therefore are able to infiltrate and destroy.

Top of pageSnow Elves

Snow Elves are sturdy, fierce Elves who live in the an area known as the snowfields. They have very little to do with other races and in fact do not even associate with other Elven clans. They are primarily Barbarians and are pale with blond hair.

Top of pageSand Elves

Sand Elves are also Barbarians and are quite similar in culture to the Snow Elves, but don't admit to having anything in common with  any  of the other Elven clans. They are quite different in appearance from the Snow Elves, being very wiry and tall, with black hair, ebon or mahogany skin, and bright eyes.

Top of pageCelestial Elves

Celestial Elves is the term for Elves who have no clan alliance, it is synonymous with the term City Elf. Most of the Elves who built Shard and L'eth were Celestial Elves. There is no standard appearance for Celestial Elves, other than their tall and slender builds, due to the fact that they are descended from various clans. Celestial Elves are by far the most social and most recent of the Elven types. Many Celestial Elves unfortunately do not recall their heritage and there are others who fear that the Time of Sorrows will come to repeat itself if Elven History if not remembered.
